Some people are especially physically beautiful. They may be very appealing to look at. They attract. Some people are especially personable. They may put us at ease, with their friendliness and charming wit. Some people may be especially sensitive and sympathetic. They may make us feel in-touch; connected, received, and understood. Some people are especially open and nurturing. They may make us feel cared for, and empathized with.
There are a lot of ways that we humans connect with each other. Our subjectivity, values, and needs, play a large part in our perception of others. However -- Sometimes, our pre-judgments can shade objectivity (of course).
An apparent mesmerizing beauty, may look well-rounded. However, he or she may (actually) have a shallow and self-absorbed personality.
An apparent homely person, may (actually) have a warm and delightful personality.
An apparent idiot, may (actually) be a savant.
An apparent shy person, may (actually) have a complex and active mind.
An apparent charming person, may (actually) be anti-social.
There can be a lot of paradox's regarding human nature, and the way we project. An individual's beliefs about another person as being likable or not, may generally be related to the values and needs of the perceiver -- and the degree of discernment of the person.

Wakefulness and Sleepiness -- How You May Adjust to Your Needs
When you need to fall asleep and are unable to -- you can focus on the times when you needed to wake-up and wanted nothing-more than to stay asleep; and experience the wonderfulness of dreamland.
When you need to wake-up and obey your alarm-clock -- you can focus on the times when you needed to fall asleep and were unable to because you were wide-awake, focused, and aware of the actuality of reality and the perception of it.
